In MyMemeCards, the meme card game, “Richi, du söllsch di hebe!” is an epic card of the German Memes pack, number 272 of the collection, and the 13th best-known meme of its 300 cards. Here is what the meme means, where it comes from, and how to get its card.
What does the “Richi, du söllsch di hebe!” meme mean?
Word for word, the line tells Richi to hold himself together. Online it works as a friendly telling-off: you send it to someone spiralling, about to give in to temptation or snapping at a group chat. The name is easy to swap for a friend’s, so the line stretches to any situation. The drawn-out dialect does the comedy; delivered with big emphasis, the order sounds funny rather than bossy.
Where does the “Richi, du söllsch di hebe!” meme come from?
The meme grew out of the Swiss German corner of the web, where short clips travel from chat to chat. Several YouTube uploads carry the name “Richi” or repeat the line in other dialect spellings, including a “Richi 007” cut and a version about switching sides. Those edits show the phrase was quickly remixed and reworked by other creators. The recording’s original setting is not spelled out on those pages, but the shouted first name, the dialect and the warning tone are clearly what made it stick.
