Where does the “Berlusconi’s Silent Commentary” meme come from?
On 12 April 2018, during the second round of consultations at the Quirinale on forming a government, the centre-right delegation of Lega, Forza Italia and Fratelli d’Italia spoke to the press. Salvini read the joint note. Berlusconi, standing behind him, accompanied each passage with gestures, counted the points on his fingers and pulled theatrical faces; the news agency Dire compared him to a teacher prompting a pupil through a lesson.
