What does the “Farenz Versus the iPad” meme mean?

Where does the “Farenz Versus the iPad” meme come from?
Marco Farina, from Cremona, launched his first channel, "farenz57," in September 2008, subtitling Angry Video Game Nerd videos; after it was taken down over copyright issues, he started his permanent channel, L'Angolo di Farenz, paired with a blog opened in August 2009. The fake-iPad episode started as a spontaneous reaction: his father returned from China with a counterfeit tablet, and Farina filmed and uploaded his reaction the very same afternoon. He has said in interviews that the video was live on YouTube within hours and, to his own surprise, remains the single most-viewed video on his channel.
