The scene belongs to the film "Tre uomini e una gamba", released in 1997, written and performed by the Milanese comic trio Aldo, Giovanni e Giacomo. In the story, two characters pose as Transylvanian noblemen from northern Italy to hide their southern origins and fool their hosts. The trap closes when they're handed the Lombard dialect word "cadrega", meaning chair: convinced they're being offered a piece of fruit, they answer as if it were an apple, exposing the deception. The sketch reworked a scene the trio had already performed on stage and television before adapting it for the big screen.
