Quelo first appeared in the opening episode of the Pippo Chennedy Show on Rai 2 in 1997, played by Corrado Guzzanti: a family man from Foggia posing as the prophet of a new god, shown as a wooden board with nails for limbs and a smiley face. He wears a white bathrobe over a white shirt and opens each appearance saying there is a “big crisis”. For him the answers a person seeks within are wrong.
