In MyMemeCards, the meme card game, “Gooool” is a common card of the Russian Memes pack, number 169 of the collection, and the 132nd best-known meme of its 300 cards. Here is what the meme means, where it comes from, and how to get its card.
What does the “Gooool” meme mean?
The meme celebrates a trivial success as if it were a World Cup winning goal: finding a parking spot, surviving a commute, finishing a dull chore. The gap between the commentator-style scream and the smallness of the achievement is the whole joke, read as affectionate and absurd rather than mocking.
Where does the “Gooool” meme come from?
Gooool emerged on the Runet (the Russian-speaking internet) in 2024, built around an illustration of a bear mimicking the gesture and scream of football commentators at the moment of a goal. The card dates it to 2024 and tags it as a Runet-format meme, with no specific video or account confirmed as the exact starting point beyond that. The image then spread as a caption for scenes with no sporting connection at all, each user attaching it to whatever moment of their day felt, to them, worth a small celebration.
