In MyMemeCards, the meme card game, “Polnostyu opravdan” is a rare card of the Russian Memes pack, number 280 of the collection, and the 40th best-known meme of its 300 cards. Here is what the meme means, where it comes from, and how to get its card.
What does the “Polnostyu opravdan” meme mean?
The phrase is used to proclaim someone “completely acquitted” after offering a ridiculous or insufficient excuse for a mistake, a delay, or any slip-up. The solemn tone, worthy of a court verdict, deliberately clashes with how weak the actual argument is, which is where the humor comes from. People bring it up whenever a bad excuse gets treated as final and beyond question, to mock that fake little victory.
Where does the “Polnostyu opravdan” meme come from?
The meme has circulated on the runet since 2017, built on the template of a court verdict applied to ordinary, trivial situations. “Polnostiou opravdan” accompanies posts where someone offers a clearly weak excuse to justify some behavior, and that excuse gets presented as having settled the matter for good. The phrase became a recurring comment for mocking this kind of overly convenient justification, lending it a solemn weight it obviously doesn't deserve.
