The meme originates from a tweet posted by the @dril account on Twitter on June 3, 2014. The initial message read: “blocked. blocked. blocked. youre all blocked. none of you are free of sin”. This simple phrase became an easily adaptable snowclone. On November 24, 2014, the Tumblr driltracts merged this tweet with Jack Chick’s evangelical comic strips. A retouched version of The Empty Tomb tract showed Jesus speaking this phrase, accompanied by the caption “The people were astonished at his doctrine”.
