What does the “Pizza nizar” meme mean?
The meme rests on a catchy sung slogan that blends French with Arabic expressions in a neighborhood-ad style. It conveys the sincere enthusiasm of a shop owner promising the “true taste of pizza” and food cooked “with heart”. People quote it to joke about a meal, to praise any random product ironically, or to start a chorus everyone recognizes. It is funny as much for its naturalness as for its repetition.
Where does the “Pizza nizar” meme come from?
The lyrics on the card come from an advert for Pizza Nizar in Saint-Gilles: “This is the true taste of pizza, wallah. Fresh ingredients, savor happiness at Nizar’s. We cook with heart.” On YouTube the line spawned several tracks: a cover titled “PIZZA NIZAR SAINT-GILLES”, an “official music” upload posted by several channels, and a song called “Pizza nizar” by DJ Gros Paf, listed as released on August 24, 2026. A creator also posted a video visiting the shop to find out whether its pizzas are among the best in the world.
