In MyMemeCards, the meme card game, “Raygun” is a rare card of the Memes World series 69, number 20490 of the collection, and the 14th best-known meme of its 112 cards. Here is what the meme means, where it comes from, and how to get its card.
What does the “Raygun” meme mean?
The card comments on visible effort that returns no result: a carefully built presentation nobody remembers, a diligent attempt that lands nowhere near what was expected. People also reuse it to own their own clumsiness with total composure, since the composure struck viewers as much as the moves did. The meme spread very fast and very hard, often at a real person’s expense: the card keeps the gesture and the stage name, and argues neither about the selection nor about the person behind it.
Where does the “Raygun” meme come from?
Breaking joined the programme of the 2024 Games; the Australian breaker competing as Raygun lost all three of her battles without scoring a single point, and footage of her routine spread across every platform the same day. The copy kept as the card’s source shows the sequence. The controversy over how she qualified, fed in the following weeks, is not settled here: this article repeats no accusation and sticks to the routine itself and its spread, which is what the card depicts.
- 2024Breaking joins the Olympic programme and the zero-scored routine spreads the same day.
