“REGARDEZ EN L'AIR !” meme: meaning, origin and common card

What does the “REGARDEZ EN L'AIR !” meme mean?

The meme carries collective panic and the alarm cry. In Call of Duty Zombies, a wave-survival mode against the undead, danger can come from every side, even from above. The phrase, yelled in capitals, is used to draw attention to something sudden, to announce imminent trouble, or to dramatize a harmless situation. It is funny for its energy and the contrast with the real danger of the match.

Where does the “REGARDEZ EN L'AIR !” meme come from?

The meme comes from a clip where TK78 plays Call of Duty Zombies. The series’ Zombies mode, introduced in Call of Duty: World at War, is about surviving ever harder waves while buying weapons and upgrades with earned points. In the clip, TK78 shouts “Regardez en l’air !”, an order barked in the heat of action. Cut and shared, the line became a comic alert people reuse at the slightest threat.
