In MyMemeCards, the meme card game, “Tu vas baisser le ton à là fin !” is a common card of the Memes FR pack, number 4017 of the collection, and the 753rd best-known meme of its 3499 cards. Here is what the meme means, where it comes from, and how to get its card.
What does the “Tu vas baisser le ton à là fin !” meme mean?
The meme packs two ingredients of a domestic quarrel: the bossy order to calm down and the silliest insult imaginable, a dried legume lodged in a skull. People bring it out to defuse an argument by mocking it, or to answer someone raising their voice over nothing. The contrast between the stern tone and the daft image does the work. In comment sections it serves as a punchline for any out-of-proportion fight.
Where does the “Tu vas baisser le ton à là fin !” meme come from?
The card, free in the game, sums up the scene through its description: a young woman is convinced that her mother has a chickpea in her head. The pages checked give neither the source video nor a date, and searches on the phrase mostly bring up family-conflict content and unrelated chickpea recipes. The card text therefore stands as the reference: a shouted exchange, an unexpected comparison, and a line that became a trademark of amused comments. It is one of the cards handed out to players.
