Where does the “Burgouzz” meme come from?
Valouzz, a followed content creator, launched the restaurant brand Burgouzz, notably selling a burger in 2025 priced at €130, a price that drew wide attention and circulated heavily online. The restaurants opened under this brand in Paris and Montpellier ended up closing shortly after, without the project lasting as long as its customers and supporters had hoped. This quick closure, following a heavily discussed launch centered on the burger’s price, triggered a wave of public criticism, with some customers and observers feeling misled about how serious the project really was.
