In MyMemeCards, the meme card game, “Étienne fan de bolidage” is a rare card of the Memes FR pack, number 948 of the collection, and the 499th best-known meme of its 882 cards. Here is what the meme means, where it comes from, and how to get its card.
What does the “Étienne fan de bolidage” meme mean?
The comedy comes from the seriousness. Nothing is played up for the camera: the man describes what he does with the composure of a technician, and it is the vocabulary that slips. The coined word does the rest, because it sounds like a trade term while standing for nothing official. People reuse it for a pointless burst of acceleration, for a vehicle modified with more heart than budget, or for any passion explained with disarming confidence. The first name alone often suffices: it carries the calm tone as much as the practice.
Where does the “Étienne fan de bolidage” meme come from?
The interview used as the card’s source was posted on 19 April 2023 on the channel Le parking, under a title pairing the first name, the nickname bolideur and the vehicle’s name. In it a man presents his car and calmly explains what he calls bolidage. A blog article about the sequence, read on 5 October 2026, revisits the vehicle and the story behind the video, but no web encyclopedia documents the whole thing, so the card stays with the interview and that article. The spread went through the word rather than the picture: the term came loose from the clip and was used among friends long before anyone knew where it came from, with the driver’s tone thrown in.
