In MyMemeCards, the meme card game, “freddy fazbear” is a rare card of the Memes World series 76, number 22665 of the collection, and the 91st best-known meme of its 298 cards. Here is what the meme means, where it comes from, and how to get its card.
What does the “freddy fazbear” meme mean?
It is a bit of mock panic: an ordinary object gets treated as a horror-game monster, and the sing-song laugh gives away that nobody is actually scared. Fans of the game recognise the sound, so the line works as an in-joke too. People reach for it whenever a bear, a plush or any slightly creepy mascot shows up on screen.
Where does the “freddy fazbear” meme come from?
On June 18, 2023, a Polish TikToker posted a video of himself and a friend walking up to a bear-shaped bin and asking whether it was Freddy Fazbear, then laughing in a repeated “har har har” rhythm. On July 24, 2023, TikToker @_flossinator_, known as YMC Gigglesaurus, shot his own version in English next to the same kind of bin, a TidyBear, and sang the same laugh. The sound nods to The Living Tombstone’s Five Nights at Freddy’s song and to a FNAF beatbox video. It then spread through Roblox clips in late July 2023 and bear videos in August 2023.
