In MyMemeCards, the meme card game, “Je suis un mâle Alpha” is a common card of the Memes FR pack, number 1390 of the collection, and the 753rd best-known meme of its 3499 cards. Here is what the meme means, where it comes from, and how to get its card.
What does the “Je suis un mâle Alpha” meme mean?
The line borrows the “alpha male” label, the dominant type some men claim for themselves online. Delivered with a straight face, it becomes a comic pose, and the gap with whatever is actually happening does the rest. People quote it to mock inflated confidence, to parody a boastful friend, or to look back fondly at a TikTok trend that vanished too quickly, as the card puts it.
Where does the “Je suis un mâle Alpha” meme come from?
The meme started on TikTok as a sound in which a person declares “Je suis un mâle alpha”. Amateur creators quickly posted parodies, such as edits where the line is followed by a deadpan “nan” or an off-beat answer, along with ASMR versions. The trend was short-lived: the card calls it a TikTok meme forgotten too quickly. The line plays on the idea of the “alpha male”, a notion drawn from animal behavior, later picked up in online talk about masculinity and turned into a joke by the meme.
