In MyMemeCards, the meme card game, “Kevin t'es le meilleur” is a common card of the Memes FR pack, number 1072 of the collection, and the 968th best-known meme of its 976 cards. Here is what the meme means, where it comes from, and how to get its card.
What does the “Kevin t'es le meilleur” meme mean?
The phrase congratulates someone totally, with no nuance and nothing asked in return. People use it sincerely, to salute a favour done, or ironically, when the result hardly deserves the praise. It works because it leaves no room for doubt: no “fairly”, no “for once”. It is the childhood compliment, said out loud in front of witnesses, which is what makes it both touching and funny to quote.
Where does the “Kevin t'es le meilleur” meme come from?
The sequence comes from the same video as “Kevin je t’aime”, posted on 23 January 2023 on a local-humour Facebook page, in a series of messages filmed at participants’ homes. The message runs to a single sentence, said to camera in a bedroom, and the compliment arrives later in the recording than the declaration does. The two lines then came apart: the first travels as a declaration, this one as praise, and it is common to meet one without knowing the other exists. The people filmed are private individuals, visibly very young; no source identifies them, and this article keeps to what the post shows. The original page remains the only available source.
