In MyMemeCards, the meme card game, “Le croc de Ratata” is an epic card of the Memes FR pack, number 2296 of the collection, and the 753rd best-known meme of its 3493 cards. Here is what the meme means, where it comes from, and how to get its card.
What does the “Le croc de Ratata” meme mean?
The meme pairs an ordinary gesture, biting into a burger, with a comparison to a Pokémon known for its prominent teeth. It expresses good-natured teasing rather than an insult: a striking physical trait is pointed out through a reference everybody gets. People use it on a huge mouthful, a grin that shows the teeth, or a photo of a meal devoured at full bite. It also recalls the streamer’s GTA RP universe and burger videos.
Where does the “Le croc de Ratata” meme come from?
JL Tomy, a French video maker and streamer, bites into a burger and, with his teeth, it looks like Rattata’s fang, Rattata being the Pokémon (called Ratata in French). The creator posts giant-burger videos and GTA RP sessions, including one titled “JL Tomy mange mon burger” and another where he shouts “my big burger”. Within that content, viewers isolated the moment of the bite and turned it into a comparison and a captioned image. The Pokémon reference, recognizable by its large incisors, was enough to make it a meme reused in comments by his community.
