In MyMemeCards, the meme card game, “No fnx, No Major” is a common card of the Brazilian Memes pack, number 275 of the collection, and the 1st best-known meme of its 300 cards. Here is what the meme means, where it comes from, and how to get its card.
What does the “No fnx, No Major” meme mean?
The meme works as a collective lucky charm: if a Brazilian team changes its five right before a Major and exits early, someone drops the line to blame the missing talisman. Half joke, half statistic, the idea is that without that one name on the roster, the result never repeats, mixing genuine respect for fnx's career with fans who refuse to forget the numbers.
Where does the “No fnx, No Major” meme come from?
Lincoln “fnx” Lau is one of Brazil's earliest Counter-Strike: Global Offensive stars. In 2016 he won the MLG Major Championship: Columbus with Luminosity Gaming, beating Natus Vincere in the final, then a few months later took the ESL One Cologne title with the same core of players, by then under the SK Gaming banner, against Team Liquid. Those remain the only two Major titles a Brazilian team has ever lifted, and fnx played in both. Fans noticed no other lineup ever matched the feat and turned the coincidence into a running broadcast joke.
