Where does the “Agreed?!” meme come from?
Wanna Marchi, born in 1942 near Bologna, became known in the late 1970s and early 1980s for TV sales of slimming products such as the “scioglipancia” cream. From 1983 she hosted the Wanna Marchi Show on Rete A, shouting “D’accordo?!” again and again to seek the audience’s approval. The line became famous enough to inspire a 1989 single with The Pommodores. Marchi was later convicted of fraud, with a final sentence confirmed in 2009.
