Where does the “Ghetto Troubles” meme come from?
In 2008, Spitty Cash released "Difficoltà nel ghetto", an amateur rap track with a music video in which he solemnly lists the difficulties of ghetto life. His peculiar diction and unexpected rhymes, already noted in a deliberately ironic review by the Italian music site Debaser in December 2008, turned the song into a cult object shared for its unintentional comedy. Discussed on Italian music forums and social media, it became a reference point for viral Italian amateur rap, quoted for its disproportionate seriousness.
