In MyMemeCards, the meme card game, “They’ll Go Around With” is a rare card of the Italian Memes pack, number 167 of the collection, and the 76th best-known meme of its 300 cards. Here is what the meme means, where it comes from, and how to get its card.
What does the “They’ll Go Around With” meme mean?
People quote "gireranno con" to poke fun at a line or chorus that sounds unfinished, left hanging with no clear follow-up. It became an ironic way to flag a song that is deliberately nonsensical and owns it.
Where does the “They’ll Go Around With” meme come from?
The track belongs to the early-2010s Italian trash-music scene, carried by artists who mocked the conventions of the commercial summer hit. The disjointed lyrics of "Estate", with that dangling "con" in the chorus, circulated on Italian music forums and sites following that scene, where the song became a cult tormentone (running joke) rather than an actual radio hit.
