In MyMemeCards, the meme card game, “Jesus 3” is a rare card of the Italian Memes pack, number 173 of the collection, and the 76th best-known meme of its 300 cards. Here is what the meme means, where it comes from, and how to get its card.
What does the “Jesus 3” meme mean?
People bring up "Gesù 3" to point at a deliberately grandiose mix of religious sermon and metal, pushed to the point of absurd humor. The title is also used as shorthand for the cult collaboration between Christian Ice and Matteo Montesi. It is cited more for the duo's sheer weirdness than for its religious content taken literally.
Where does the “Jesus 3” meme come from?
After Christian Ice remixed Matteo Montesi's sermons and triggered his anger around 2011, the two turned their feud into an actual musical partnership: Christian Ice composes and plays every instrument, while Montesi sings or preaches over it. "Gesù 3," a numbered entry in a run of metal-liturgical tracks alongside titles like "Grazie Gesù" and "Satana, Trinità infinita," belongs to this shared discography, first spread on YouTube and later picked up on streaming platforms, and remains a reference point for fans of Italian remix culture.
