What does the “Ya shchas zakonchu voobshche vsyo!” meme mean?
The shout captures a commentator out of breath, overwhelmed by emotion to the point of losing his words and nearly his voice. People caption any scene with it where someone bursts with joy or excitement to the point of running out of things to say, in sport or elsewhere. The deliberate exaggeration of the shout makes it a gentle way to mock a disproportionate reaction. It also works as a wink between Russian football fans who instantly recognise Cherdantsev's tone.
Where does the “Ya shchas zakonchu voobshche vsyo!” meme come from?
Georgy Cherdantsev is a Russian sports commentator known for very fiery football broadcasts, where exclamations and verbal flourishes are part of the style. His line “Ia chtchas zakontchou voobchtche vsio!”, shouted mid-commentary while out of breath, was clipped and spread widely across the Runet. It was later reused outside football entirely, including in commentary videos about the FIFA video game, where players quote or imitate the line during a spectacular play. The card dates the meme to 2008, a period when clips of Russian sports commentary circulated heavily online.
