The meme plays on a comic gap between a harmless gesture, a car horn, and the outsized reaction of someone who feels personally targeted by it. It is used to mock exaggerated touchiness: someone who takes offense over a trivial detail and turns an everyday annoyance, especially on the road, into a matter of personal honor.
Where does the “Ty komou signalich” meme come from?
The line “Ty komou signalich, diadia?” has circulated since 2013 on the runet, the Russian-language internet, where it became a meme reused in video edits. The scene involves a driver honking and a man reacting as if the horn were aimed at him personally, aggressively demanding who it was meant for. The contrast between the banality of the traffic incident and the disproportionate reaction gave the line its lasting popularity, reused well beyond its original driving context.
