The meme caricatures American-style rap, with its repetitive hooks, sound effects and easy rhymes, carried into French with a perfectly straight face. People quote “Et ça fait clic clic” to imitate a deliberately basic flow, to gently tease a highly formatted rap track, or to kick off an improvised freestyle with friends. The comedy lives in the contrast between the tough-guy pose and the naive lyrics.
