Daniel Orivaldo da Silva, nicknamed Galo Cego because of his visual impairment, worked as a parking attendant in Maringá, Paraná, when he threw a stone at a car, hitting the woman driving it and nearly striking a baby in the back seat. Taken to the police station, he gave an interview to a reporter from a regional TV news program, where he strung together disjointed sentences about his own body, a speech so incomprehensible it was soon nicknamed poetry. The video circulated on YouTube, racking up around 1.5 million views, before spreading across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and WhatsApp. Years later, the same reporter interviewed him again, producing a second equally viral video with a speech about work that also became famous.
