Valéria Vasques is a transgender character created and played by Rodrigo Sant'Anna, who debuted her in late May 2011 in the Metrô Zorra Total sketch, part of the Zorra Total show on TV Globo. The character came from the theater production Os Suburbanos, where Sant'Anna had already performed for over a decade alongside Thalita Carauta, and on stage the original line was "ai, como eu tô piranha", adapted for TV as "ai, como eu tô bandida". In the sketches, set in the Rio de Janeiro subway, Valéria plays off her friend Janete, played by Carauta, who knows her past under the name "Valdemar" and tries to reconnect, while Valéria answers with hostility and her signature lines. The phrase even inspired a funk song version.
