Where does the “No, Vegan!” meme come from?
In the early hours of January 10, 2024, during a conversation on Big Brother Brasil 2024, a mosquito interrupted Wanessa Camargo and Yasmin Brunet. When Wanessa tried to kill the insect, Yasmin warned her: “No. Vegan, vegan.” Wanessa replied, honestly: “No, with the mosquito trying to bite me, I'm not vegan about that.” The two houseguests were the only confirmed vegans of that season, which gave the scene a comic contrast between conviction and survival instinct. The moment spread quickly on social media during the show's very first week and became one of the season's first viral memes.
