Where does the “Fantozzi’s Personal Cloud” meme come from?
The Fantozzi saga, which began in the 1970s with Paolo Villaggio in the title role, built a series of recurring gags around the misfortunes of an ordinary office worker, including a personal rain cloud that follows and soaks him alone, even during an outdoor trip. Some scenes of the saga were shot in an industrial Ligurian setting, along stretches of the A7 highway toward Genoa, reinforcing the grey atmosphere tied to the character and his repeated misfortunes.
