What does the “Teemo” meme mean?
Behind the cute little scout look, Teemo stands for frustration. His poisoned darts and mushroom traps make him an irritating opponent, and his name became shorthand for a player's resentment. In memes he labels someone annoying behind an innocent face, or a lingering gaming trauma. The gap between his friendly face and the hatred he draws fuels the humor: people use him to tease a sneaky teammate, an elusive opponent, or a memory from their early days.
Where does the “Teemo” meme come from?
Teemo is a playable character in Riot Games' League of Legends. The card sums up his reputation: he traumatized several generations of gamers.
