What does the “Socially Awesome Penguin” meme mean?
Where its cousin tells of blunders, the awesome penguin tells of moments when everything clicks: a joke that lands, an easy conversation, a meeting without a hitch. The meme tells a small social victory with a proud grin. It is often used in pairs, one awkward panel and one triumphant panel, to show the same situation tipping either way. The humor comes from the contrast and from luck turning around.
