In MyMemeCards, the meme card game, “"Out!"” is a rare card of the Permanent Edition French Twitch Memes Season 1, number 30 of the collection, and the 55th best-known meme of its 78 cards. Here is what the meme means, where it comes from, and how to get its card.
What does the “"Out!"” meme mean?
“Dehors!” is a dismissal delivered with loud glee. From Kameto, who tells the beaten team to leave the tournament, it sounds like a football chant and carries a friendly sneer. Outside esports, it gets used to wave off a defeated opponent, a noisy neighbor, a bad idea or an embarrassing memory. Tone matters: the exaggeration and the booming voice make it comic rather than hurtful.
Where does the “"Out!"” meme come from?
Kameto is the founder and president of Karmine Corp, a French esports club created in 2020. In 2021 the club’s League of Legends roster reached the stage of the European Masters. During the tournament, Kameto, wearing a KC scarf, yelled “dehors” at the team that had just been knocked out. The moment was cut into a clip and a GIF. It fits the atmosphere of the Blue Wall, the club’s supporter community, used to chants and fervor. The line has since traveled well beyond esports.
