In MyMemeCards, the meme card game, “Kameto's mocking laugh” is a rare card of the Permanent Edition French Twitch Memes Season 1, number 34 of the collection, and the 60th best-known meme of its 78 cards. Here is what the meme means, where it comes from, and how to get its card.
What does the “Kameto's mocking laugh” meme mean?
The laugh is not truly cruel. It belongs to the friend who saw the failure coming and does not bother to hide it, a blend of irony, glee and a little bad faith. Fans send it after a rival team loses, when someone swears they will wake up early tomorrow, or when a grand plan collapses in public. Under a post it replaces a long reply, because everyone understands the teasing at once. Among friends it adds lightness; aimed at strangers, its effect is harder to control, so it works best when the joke is shared.
Where does the “Kameto's mocking laugh” meme come from?
The GIF shows Kameto, real name Kamel Kebir, a French streamer and entrepreneur born on 27 June 1995 in Corbeil-Essonnes. He built a career around video games and esports, and in winter 2019 he founded the team Kameto Corp with Kotei. It became Karmine Corp in 2020 after he joined forces with the streamer Prime, and the club won the European Masters in League of Legends in 2021. Clip channels cut highlights from his livestreams, especially the moments when he bursts out laughing, and fans turn them into GIFs. This one dates from 2023 and ranks among the most shared reactions of him, well beyond his own community.
